Guru Rinpoche, also referred to as Padmasambhava, is a highly revered figure in Tibetan Buddhist culture. Thangka art is a traditional method of Buddhist painting, represented in Guru Rinpoche thangkas in which he is the central figure, usually surrounded by iconography and other symbols. He is typically depicted with a serene expression and a gentle smile, richly adorned with elaborate attire and a crown or headdress signifying his holiness. Additionally, his hands may be shown in mudras which relate different symbolic meanings.
Guru Rinpoche Thangka is associated with several symbols of strength and sacredness, such as a vajra, a lotus flower, a skull cup filled with nectar, a book or scroll, a trident and a staff. His attendants or embodiments, called Dakini or Kandra, who represent knowledge, frequently appear as various postures and forms near Guru Rinpoche
