Ksitigarbha Bosatsu is one of the four main Bodhisattva. He was entrusted by buddha to light the sentiment beings for the time of Shakyamuni Buddha’s death till the future buddha Maitreya comes to the earth. He has also taken a vow not to become a Buddha until all sentiment beings including those in hell are rescued. Out of four bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism, only he has the power who can visit all six realms.
