  • Get another clean dry towel, lay it flat on the floor and place your pashmina on top of the dry towel to let it dry.

Notes:

  • Make sure you stretch your pashmina so they don’t wrinkle as you dry it. This way, you avoid ironing it when it’s completely dry.
  • Never dry your pashmina under direct sunlight of anywhere where there is excess heat.
  • Never use your washing machine or dryer

Storage

Storing Pashmina in a cool dry place

  • Store your Pashmina in a muslin cloth to avoid the development of lint or short fibres that separate the surface of cloth or yarn. Fold it neatly inside out in moth-proof stuff.
  • Keep the Pashmina in a drawer or storage box with dried lavender sachets to repel moths. Use a Plastic Zip storage box if you want to store your cashmere over a longer seasonal period, so that moths can’t penetrate it.
  • Do not use naphthalene balls while storing the Pashmina as it can ruin its beauty and give it a permanent smell.
  • Keep your Pashmina at a cool, dry place. In case of contact with moisture, visit a dry cleaner to get the issue sorted.
  • Airing your shawl regularly on time can help you get rid of exposure to odours like food, cigarettes, and pollution. Get some Fresh air to your Pashmina shawl, simply hang the shawl in the fresh air.
  • Do not keep your Pashmina on Direct heat or extreme sunlight as it damages the garment texture
  • Never hang a Pashmina in the closet as it can cause the fabric to stretch and lose its shape. Instead, always fold and stack it neatly to keep the material crisp.
